Kilen took his first steps on Friday night. Lynden and I had just been talking about how the transition to walking is going to be bumpy and that we will probably just see one step at a time initially. Then all of a sudden, Kilen let go of Lynden's finger and took 4 or 5 steps towards me. Wow!
We then proceeded to try to recreate it with the video camera rolling. We got a couple more steps out of him that night, and then he was shot! It's been a fun weekend to watch him try again and again.
p.s. he already has a very nice bruise / rug burn on his forehead to go along with the new stage. we are hoping it will heal in time for his 1 year pictures!
