11 Months Old!

The eleventh month flew by! We were all sick a lot, but Kilen managed to have a lot of fun anyways. Here's what Kilen's doing these days:
- He loves Sadie, as you can tell. The other night he was playing with her and tried to put his socks on both himself and on Sadie.
- Standing by himself for about 10 seconds at a time. We've seen one step before dropping down to crawl or grabbing back on to furniture.
- Crawling fast. Sometimes we laugh about how he gets into turbo-speed, puts his head down and just goes as fast as he can. Reminds us of Super Mario Brothers when they'd get super speed power.
- Waves hello, bye-bye and night-night. He almost said bye-bye to Sadie the other morning, but we can't be sure.
- Loves to eat finger foods now. Foods that were too mushy (banana pieces) or squishy (pinto bean halves) are now a piece of cake. It's fun to see all the things he can try. Of course his favorite foods are still yogurt, ritz crackers, applesauce, sweet potatoes, and cheese.
- Loves to play with blocks and balls and kitchen pots and pans. And he loves the toys he can walk behind. We have figured out how to crank the wheel on his dump truck so that he just walks in circles while pushing it. He thought that was pretty funny, and we enjoyed him not banging into the walls.
- Sleeping was pretty rough for a few weeks, but now he's back to his old habits - much to our relief!
- Kilen is quick to laugh, which makes our life pretty fun. If we need to distract him, it only takes a song, a tickle or a zurbit to get a chuckle out of him. The belly laughs arrive when he knocks over a tower or plays with Dad.
- Best of all, he gives hugs, kisses and affectionate head bonks.
