Catch Up

Hi all, sorry for the delay. I'm sure you've been wondering what the heck is going on at the Reder's. (Well, at least our friends in Africa have been curious.)

We spent the last week of August trying to get back to a normal schedule. I'm happy to report that Lynden is liking his new job. He's even embracing the new schedule, which requires him to get up the same time as me (yea!!!).

So this is no longer the picture (right) in the morning.... Sorry, it's an old picture but one of my favorites. This used to be the routine every morning - Britta gets up and feeds Sadie, Sadie snuggles in Britta's spot with Lynden while Britta tries to motivate herself to get out the door.

But anyways -- back to the topic at hand. Last week of summer flew by again. We spent this last weekend in Alexandria with my mom and dad and brother and his girlfriend. It was fun to spend time together and get out on the boat for hopefully not the last time this year.

Monday morning we ran the Victory 5K in north Minneapolis. This is an annual tradition - run the race with a group of the Berggren friends and family; followed by the fantastic grill-out at Scott and Kim's house. It was a hot day for a run, I struggled with it, but Lynden did AWESOME! His time was 25:14, an average of 8:07 per mile pace.

Here's everybody's race results, that I could find:
Scott Berggren: 23:20 (7:30 pace)
Megan Sherwood: 24:31 (7:53 pace)
Lynden Reder: 25:14 (8:07 pace)
Max Green, Kim's dad: 26:00 (8:22 pace)
Kim Berggrem: 26:24 (8:30 pace)
Chad Rittenhouse, Kim's brother-in-law: 26:54 (8:39 pace)
Britta Reder: 30:45 (9:54 pace)
Jeff and Lindsay Thompson: 32:37 (10:30 pace) **Lindsay's first race ever!**

Anna and Joshua Walter ran the kid's half mile race as well, no official times but everyone got a blue ribbon!
