Kilen and Elsie's daycare sponsored a Screen Free Week for all of their families. We dove in to this idea and since his teachers were encouraging it at school, it was easy to follow their lead.
The week went surprising well. I swear the kids knew something was up because they were awake between 5:30 and 6 AM every day. So we did lots of fun new things like - pajama bike rides, and pajama baseball in the backyard, coloring and coloring, playing with toys we hadn't seen in a long time, and baking cookies, and on and on and on - all before going to work in the morning. :) I kid, it was a great week and we're happy at how quickly Kilen forgot about the tv and how easily he let it go when we said it wasn't working this week. We had lots of fun.

One of our outings this week was to Goldy's house for his big screen movie night, kids' games on the field and lots of popcorn! It was hard to believe that last year we went to this event and it was Kilen's first movie, first box of popcorn, and Elsie was only a few weeks old.
