The Standoff

Charlie has gotten the stamp of approval from the veterinarian to move inside the house. He now takes residence in our basement storage room and sometimes the living room (while he's acclimating). We tried to introduce Sadie and Charlie on Monday night. It didn't go very well. As you can see, Sadie is very interested in Charlie - she's trying to wiggle her way closer to him and may have been mid-bark in this picture. Charlie is not so interested in Sadie. They did make it closer to each other and Charlie hissed and spat at Sadie, and tried to take a swing at her. Sadie didn't like that very much and was ready to leave the living room, sneezing with her ears back.

Since Monday we've tried a few various introductions, mostly involved sniffing each other between closed doors. It's a start...
